It really is a cool phone if you have not played with one yet. I am hoping now I will post more being that I don't have to be sitting in front of a computer to do so. Also I have heard that they Might be adding video capabilities and live broadcast so stay tuned.

Fear Billboard in Orlando

OK so I know we aren't supposed to put anything political on here but I had to write something quick on this billboard now found on OBT in Orlando. I think it is an outrage that someone would use the image of 9-11 to try to not only evangelize their political views on to you but also try to make money off of doing it. Last time I checked 9-11 happened under the current president and to think that you would make money by using this horrid tragedy is just insane. The person who paid for this billboard is an idiot and there is nothing else you can say about it. If you go to his website he is trying to sell his song to you in which these are the lyrics:

The Democrat secular progressive move,
political correctness is killing us too.
They want to take the money from the hard workin man,
and give it to the lazy folks that don't give a damn.

Chorus

Democrats and Liberals, shame on you,
don't punish us all just to please a few,
Your holdin people back while we're pickin up the slack,
and that's why we can't vote for a Democrat.
Oh no, a no, no, no, no, no, no...
Oh no, a no, no, no, no, no, nooo...
Yeah, your holding people back, while we're pickin up the tax,
Oh no, no please don't vote for a Democrat.

Now we're trying to win a war and wipe out the terrorists,
We're not fightin for oil we got plenty if we drill it.
But the liberals and the media are spreading their lies,
Get the hell out of our way and let our soldiers fight.

Chorus

Democrats and Liberals shame on you,
don't punish us all just to please a few.
No we can't afford to have another attack,
and that's why we can't vote for a Democrat.
Oh no, a no, no, no, no, no ,no...
Oh no, a no, no, no, no, no, no..
No we can't afford to have another attack,
Oh no, please don't vote for a Democrat.

Republicans, we're not perfect but we know the truth
We uphold the Constitution and the Golden Rule.
We believe a mans freedom is a God given right,
the USA is the beacon to the whole world in sight.

Chorus

Democrats and Liberals shame on you,
don't punish us all just to please a few.
our Constitution, Nation and God are under attack,
and that's why we can't vote for a Democrat.
Oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no, no...
oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no, no...
Our Constitution, Nation and God are under attack,
Oh no, please, oh no please, don't vote for a Democrat.

Our Constitution, Nation and God are under attack,
Oh no, please, oh no please, don't vote for a Democrat.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the current president has taken away more constitutional rights than any president before him and his song seems to say other wise. Now I understand that this is protected by the first amendment as it should be that does not make it right. By the way please don't go to his site because then he has succeeded, just send him an email at pleasedontvoteforademocrat@yahoo.com

Good News

So I received great news yesterday. My internet is being installed tomorrow so we will be able to do a show this week. Since we haven't been planning on a show I think were going to just go off the cuff and see how things go. I know I don't want to spend time planning this week with my birthday being today and the holiday being this week. I hope all of you tune in and participate. The new studio isn't done to my liking but we will be in the new studio and I am looking into getting a call in number before the show as well. If your looking for and update as to what I have been doing over the past few weeks feel free to head over to my wife's blog and take a look.

Star Wars Weekend

As man of you know Drew is headed to Star Wars weekend this weekend and I wanted to give him this little send off!

-Rick

Sorry Kobe but the "Truth" hurts!

Last night every green blooded (Yes because most of us are Irish) fellow from Boston was treated to a 17th NBA championship. First the Pats, then the Red Sox after that, and now finally the Celtics can add themselves to the list of Boston sports teams putting the city back on the map. The only thing sweeter in my mind would have been the Magic hoisting that trophy last night, but if they couldn’t then I’m glad the boys from my hometown could.

The best thing about this game 6 spanking the C’s handed the Lakers, was seeing 3 great players finally win their championships. Many great players have retired with out getting to feel the ultimate accomplishment in the NBA, a title. Three quick names that come to mind are Charles Barkley, John Stockton, and Karl Malone. I was, up until this year, convinced that “The Truth” and KG’s careers would suffer the same fate. But alas that was not to be. With a little under a minute left and a 40 point lead Paul Peirce threw a bucket of gator aid over coach Rivers. Garnett was courtside exchanging hugs and Hi-5’s with teammates, fans, and honestly I think anyone who congratulated him. As you will see at the bottom video he was very emotional after the game in an interview he screamed: “Anything is possible.” And “Top of the world.”

The “Truth” who of this group is the only career Celtic, fittingly won the finals MVP award and thanked the fans of Boston for sticking by him all the years he has been there. All very emotional, they celebrated a Cinderella season after going from only winning 20 games, (or in KG and Allen’s case just being on going nowhere teams) to being NBA champions. Honestly I can’t see it happening to three better players either.

Tiger Woods To Undergo Reconstructive Knee Surgery and Miss Remainder of 2008 Season
6/18/2008 3:02:00 PM

Doctors assure Woods that long-term prognosis is very good with rehabilitation and training

Just days after winning the 2008 U.S. Open in a dramatic sudden-death playoff, Tiger Woods announced that he will be forced to undergo reconstructive Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery on his left knee and will miss the remainder of the PGA TOUR season.

In addition to the knee surgery, Woods will require the time off to rehabilitate a double stress fracture of his left tibia that was discovered last month just prior to the Memorial Tournament. The stress fractures were attributed to Woods' intense rehabilitation and preparations for the U.S. Open. Doctors have assured Woods that the stress fractures will heal with time.

"I know much was made of my knee throughout the last week, and it was important to me that I disclose my condition publicly at an appropriate time. I wanted to be very respectful of the USGA and their incredibly hard work, and make sure the focus was on the U.S. Open," said Woods. "Now, it is clear that the right thing to do is to listen to my doctors, follow through with this surgery, and focus my attention on rehabilitating my knee."

A date for the knee surgery, as well as the necessary rehabilitation schedule, has not yet been determined.

"While I am obviously disappointed to have to miss the remainder of the season, I have to do the right thing for my long-term health and look forward to returning to competitive golf when my doctors agree that my knee is sufficiently healthy," said Woods. "My doctors assure me with the proper rehabilitation and training, the knee will be strong and there will be no long-term effects."

Woods originally ruptured the ACL in 2007 following The Open Championship when he was running at his home in Orlando. At that point, he elected to not have surgery, and instead attempted to play through the pain. Following the injury, Woods went on to win five of the next six events he entered, including the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, the PGA Championship, the BMW Championship, the TOUR Championship and the Target World Challenge, while also finishing second at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He carried that streak over into 2008, winning his first four events of the year, the Buick Invitational, the Dubai Desert Classic, WGC-Accenture Match Play and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

In the fall of 2007, Woods decided to forego a number of playing opportunities to allow the knee time to heal in preparation for the 2008 season. He still experienced pain early in 2008, however, and in an effort to allow him to play through the remainder of the season, elected to have arthroscopic surgery immediately following the Masters to clean out cartilage damage. The cartilage damage in fact developed as a result of the ACL injury, and Woods' hope was that the arthroscopic surgery would get him through the remainder of the season and allow him to delay the ACL surgery until after the season.

"My rehabilitation schedule after the arthroscopic surgery was designed with the goal of returning to play at the Memorial, but the stress fractures that were discovered just prior to the tournament unfortunately prevented me from participating and had a huge impact on the timing for my return," said Woods. "I was determined though, to do everything and anything in my power to play in the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, which is a course that is close to where I grew up and holds many special memories for me. Although I will miss the rest of the 2008 season, I'm thrilled with the fact that last week was such a special tournament."

Tiger Woods, ranked number one in the world on the Official World Golf Ranking and leading the 2008 PGA Tour Money Leaders list, has 65 PGA TOUR victories to his credit, including 14 major championships, ranking him third all-time in wins, just eight behind Jack Nicklaus and 17 behind the all-time leader Sam Snead. This past week, Woods also celebrated his 500th week as the number one ranked player in the world, a position he first attained eleven years ago on June 15, 1997.

"I would like to thank my fans and partners for their continual support and can assure everyone that I will be as dedicated to rehabilitating my knee as I am in all other aspects of my career," said Woods

Updates on Woods' surgical and rehabilitation timelines will be provided at a later date once a schedule has been finalized.

Biking Disaster

So I have seen some fucked up things in my life but I came across this news article the other day. A US citizen in Mexico gets drunk, passes out while driving, and runs into a bike race. One person ended up dead because of it and he really didn't seem to have any excuses, no wonder people around this world hate us. The only other thing I was really wondering about is why the hell the cop who was escorting the race decided to move out of the way. I would think his cruiser could take a hit a lot better than a bunch of guys on their bikes.

This is Drew from R&D radio. One of the websites I always mean to mention "on air" but never seem to get to is....

Angry Video Game Nerd

It's the home of the angry video game nerd. This is a cat that reviews old Nintendo games. He likes to shit on them mostly, pointing out how sucky they are or how horrible the game play is. This guy self produces them, but most impressively of all actually provides something home made on the internet that is actually funny. WHY OH WHY?

On the heels of the successful revival of the Indiana Jones franchise, Paramount has set in motion a fourth installment of Beverly Hills Cop, with Eddie Murphy on board to once again portray Axel Foley, reports Variety. Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand) is in negotiations to direct.

Released in 1984, the original Beverly Hills Cop grossed $316 million worldwide and spawned two sequels. All told, the three movies grossed $712.9 million worldwide. The last was released in 1994. Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced the original Beverly Hills Cop trilogy with late partner Don Simpson, won’t be actively involved in the new film.

Murphy approached the studio about reviving the franchise that cemented his status as a B.O. mega-star. Paramount brass were eager to land another picture with Murphy after he finished the Karey Kirkpatrick-directed NowhereLand, which Paramount releases in June 2009.

Studio is aiming for a 2009 production start and a summer 2010 release.
